You can rub if you like, you just don't need to go at it the way you would with a normal towel, as the chamois pulls the water straight out. Wring it out as needed and keep going. Rinse and air dry after use.

Our chamois-style towel is designed to absorb loads of water, so once it dries out it can feel stiff or “rock hard.” That’s just it doing its job.

To soften it again, simply run it under water for a few seconds, give it a quick wring, and it’ll go flexible and ready to use.

Easy: rinse, wring, reuse.

For a deeper clean, hand wash where you can, or if you really have to pop it in on a cool cycle (never above 40°C) with mild detergent.

Wash it on its own or with similar colours.

Skip fabric softener as it reduces absorbency, and no bleach, disinfectant or tumble dryer. Air dry is best.

It'll go stiff as it dries out. Totally normal, and a few seconds under the tap brings it back. Just don't bend or pull it while it's hard.

Also Colour fading is totally normal.

Chamois is closer to a sponge than a fabric, so the colour sits in the material rather than being dyed into a thread. It fades with use, and machine washing takes the most out.

Your Puddle Pups towel may arrive slightly damp in its tube. This keeps it soft and ready to use. It’s perfectly fine to store it this way for short periods.

If you’re using the towel regularly, simply rinse, wring it out, fold it, and allow it to dry between uses. It will dry firm (even rock hard!). This is completely normal and part of how the material works. When you’re ready to use it again, just re-wet it for a few seconds, and it will soften immediately.

If you want to store it back in the tube, lightly dampen it first so it becomes flexible enough to fold. Avoid storing the towel damp in the tube for long periods without use, as this can lead to musty smells or mould.

Rinsing between uses doesn't touch the colour and is all your towel needs most of the time. It's the machine that pulls it out, so the fewer washes the better, and a gentle hand wash keeps it looking new for far longer.

Whatever shade it ends up, it dries your pup exactly as brilliantly as it did on day one.

We want you (and your dog) to love your towel. If something’s not quite right, you can return unused items in their original condition within 14 days of delivery.

Once we’ve received and checked your return, we’ll process your refund as quickly as possible.
