How to use your Puddle Pups towel

A few simple steps and it'll keep drying your pup for years 🐾

How to use it

1. Wrap & Dry

After a bath, a walk or a full puddle disaster, wrap the towel around your pup and gently rub or pat them dry. The chamois pulls water straight out of the coat.

2. Wring & Reuse

Once it's soaked through, wring it out and carry on. Use it as many times as you need.

3. Rinse & Air Dry

Rinse it, fold it once and let it air dry. Dampen it again to soften before next time.

Your questions answered

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild detergent, not exceeding 40°C. Avoid bleach, disinfectants, fabric softeners and tumble drying. Wash separately or with similar colours only to prevent colour fading. Fewer washes help maintain colour vibrancy.

Do I need to wash it after every use?

No, and honestly we'd rather you didn't. A good rinse after each use is plenty. Chamois naturally resists mould, mildew and odour, so it stays fresh far longer than a normal towel.

Is it normal for the colour to fade?

Chamois towels naturally fade over time, especially with frequent machine washing. Rinse after use and hand wash gently to help preserve colour. Despite colour changes, they remain just as effective at drying.

Why has my towel gone rock hard?

Don't worry, this is completely normal! Your Puddle Pup towel naturally stiffens as it dries. Simply run it under water for a few seconds and it'll soften straight back up. Most importantly, don't try to pull the towel apart while it's stiff, as this can cause it to tear.

Is it normal if it arrives slightly damp?

Yes, that's normal and it's ready to use straight away. Chamois stays soft while there's a bit of moisture in it, so yours may well turn up that way.

How should I store it?

Somewhere clean and airy between uses. It will stiffen as it dries out, which is completely normal, and a few seconds under the tap brings it straight back.
